Welcome to PDS, the original naval-warfare inspired total conversion for Relic Entertainment's Homeworld 2 space RTS. Currently in redevelopment since May 2008.

PROJECT IDENTITY:
Our aim is to add a distinct military feel and history to established RTS gameplay parameters. Today, PDS strives to achieve strike a balance between a RTS and a full-fledged naval simulator, offering what might be called "Harpoon in Space" based on a combination of contemporary science fiction concepts and real-world military history.
ALTERNATIVE VERSIONS:
PDS "Classic" (v4.9-v7) - latest V7.3, a standalone (full install) community refinement to the time-tested V1.0 to V7.2 series based on stock HW2 gameplay. Find out more here.

| /misc/ |
 Hello people!
Thanks to the effort of a few dedicated souls, and my self, I have gathered a pretty large collection of Mods and Files at http://pds.hwaccess.net/downloads/ex_ffront/.
However, I am not sure about how to handle the folder /misc/ since it has a content that I do not really get, I assume its ship files and obj files and similar stuff used to do the actual mods.
I am on alert to see if anyone might be able to go trough the /misc/ folder and sort things out a bit...??
A WARNING. I do not know if any of these files ever were intended for public release...the Mods, I think are ok, but the development files under /misc/ are old and comes originally from Penguin.Mayhem. (Much thanks for your e-mail, James!), so beware, I cannot condone their usage. |

I have sent out a request to all members asking for PDS files. The reson for this is that several links from this site for downloads were/are directed to Filefront but those files have been made available here. | An effort to pump up PDS... |
...at HWSHOTS
I would appreciate all available input regarding concepts and imagery you may have. Some screenies on your hdd that you can make available via a zip file, an album at ImgShack, whatever. I need those screenies to put up.
As a parenthesis, I have almost 600 shots from AFF already and still working on more.

| Naysayers be Damned |
 I went out to get some new knowledge from RL, not forgetting that once upon a time PDS was that good and that fun to build stone by stone. Or rather nuclear warheads and fusion reactors.
I'm back to try another restart effort and lets see where this ends up eh? |

| HWSHOTS and PDS Site |
 As posted here the External Gallery for PDS (one of many resources for this mod) has been destroyed. please follow that thread for updates on the restoration, and do accept my apologies if you lost some images posted there.
A new version, a mayor overhaul, of the CMS used on this site has been released (7.00). I will update the site, but I fear some hands on might be required in order to use the graphics/layout since the Theme engine has been rewritten. Would appreciate input on this.

In order to have a decent online presence and to avoid spam, spambots and other undesirable events, your registration as new user must meet Administrators approval. This is valid for all new registrations as from this date. All registrations require valid e-mail address. Approval is handled by me and you will be notified (if approved) via the sites automated e-mail system.
